Maison Bauchart, Paris, France
There are very few addresses in Paris where you can be this central, and still feel entirely removed from the pace and visibility that come with it. Maison Bauchart sits discreetly just off Avenue George V, in that part of the Golden Triangle everyone thinks they know, but rarely experiences like this. This is not a hotel that tries to compete with the grandes maisons nearby. It does something much more deliberate. It takes the scale, architecture and elegance of a 19th-century hôtel particulier and reworks it into something that feels genuinely residential, without losing the service level expected.
The design, led by Tony Rivas, leans into proportion, light and materiality. Everything is considered, but nothing is over-explained.
